Hi to everyone who will be attending our third Sheffield Tango Festival in April 2023.
We are already preparing for your arrival, and we can’t wait to see you, and spend the weekend enjoying workshops with some of the most talented Tango teachers in the world. And of course dancing some sublime Tandas with all of you!
As a preliminary to the festival we are thinking about some of our wider objectives, and we would like your help with something that is at the top of Global agendas. This year we want to be as Eco friendly and responsible as we possibly can be. We don’t want to continually add to the overwhelming plastic pollution that the world has become engulfed by, and we would ask for your help in reducing unnecessary waste.
We would ask all of you attending the festival to bring your own refillable water bottle, and your own refillable cups. We will provide an endless supply of water and other drinks to keep you hydrated and happy. We just don’t want to provide cups and plastic glasses that will be thrown away and wasted. We have been to a couple of Tango events recently where the same request has been made, and it was very successful. Let’s do our own bit for the environment by becoming an increasingly green tango community.
