Just a quick update to say that we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone who has booked a place at The Sheffield Tango Festival this weekend.
We continue to receive application forms and emails daily. While we’re happy that so many people wish to join us, numbers are limited and we’ve been fully booked for some time.
By fully booked we mean that there are no spaces left at milongas or workshops. Please do not turn up unless you’ve received a notification accepting your booking as, sadly, we’ll be unable to admit you.
If you have secured your place, on arrival you will receive a list of the milongas and workshops you have booked.
If you’re on the waiting list you will be advised should there be any cancellations.
Please note that we still have a few places on the following workshops:
Friday O&C1: Wonderful World of Structure John Tan: Inside the Mind of a Tango DJ *
Saturday O&C2: The Cadence L&G1: Short Combinations with Crossing Steps L&G2: Understanding the Milonga Rhythm E&E3: Cross/Parallel System Orq. Andariega: Musicality Workshop * Lucas Gastiarena: The History of Tango Part 2 *
Sunday O&C5: Leading or Dancing L&G5: Playing with Paradas
* No partner needed
For further details check the Programme and Teachers pages on this website.
All other workshops are now fully booked, although we do have waiting lists.
Bookings continue to come in apace. Full dance passes and passes for individual afternoon and evening milongas are still available at the moment.
If you are intending to book but haven’t yet done so we recommend that you get your application in soon. (Especially those late-booking leaders!)
Workshops are filling rapidly. I’ve listed below those that are full or almost full. If you wish to book for other workshops it does help if you can book with a partner so that we can ensure a lead/follow balance.
If you still wish to apply for workshops listed as full you are welcome to do so. You will be placed on a waiting list and advised if places become available.
Note that for John Tan’s DJ Workshop, the Orquesta Típica Andariega musicality workshop, and Lucas Gastiarena’s History of Tango presentation, partners are not required. (And for those who asked, Lucas’ session will cover different material from his very successful talk last year.)
